The last thing Carson expects when he walks into her room is to be attracted to a young, beautiful woman named Melody.

Carson and Melody quickly realize there is undeniable chemistry between them, no matter how hard they try to ignore it. Carson gives in to his strict "no dating" rule during baseball season, and Melody allows Carson into her private world.

Falling hard and fast, everything is seemingly perfect until a piece of Carson's past blindsides the couple. Devastated, Melody must decide if their love is enough to move forward or if she'll only resent Carson for the rest of her life.

The story was enjoyable and an easy 'listen', without any of those annoying "misunderstandings" or childish moves that are often included in books like this. The plot twist wasn't really a surprise, but it was well executed. The male narrator was great.

A sweet love story

After about two thirds of this story, I decided I'd rather spend my time on other stories. I really did like it in the beginning!
However, I did NOT like the author using repeatedly "female" instead of woman or girl. Obv fine as an adjective but like this, as a noun?! Girl ew!
Also, the MMC more than once said sth along the lines of "oh you're not like other girls" to the FMC which is also a big ick for me.
The female narrator wasn't my favorite either.
so, unfortunately, this is a DNF for me.
