Excellent introduction into CBT

As a teacher, I have listened to a variety of Great Courses and most are interesting but only a few have had some impact on my background knowledge, understanding, or perceptions. In my everyday work this audiobook has actually made me advance the depth of my thinking and analysis. I am sure I will listen to the audiobook again at some point to refresh and deepen these concepts.
While I recommend the audiobook, I understand the criticism that some ideas are mostly scratched on the surface, but again, it serves very well as an introduction to the field in general, addressing many topics as well as providing further reading material. The practical approach, i. e., recorded therapy sessions and the latter reflections on them, however, were very insightful for me.
