Social scientist Brené Brown has ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability - the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome - is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall. It is the rise from falling that Brown takes as her subject in Rising Strong.

I keep on beeing surprised about Brene' s Honesty! I see and hear her stuggeling with vulnerabiltly and learned behaviour & thoughts aka conditioning and I so mucj can relate to it! I sometimes had difficulties to understand some of Brenes expressions and there I missed out of what she wanted to say! So glad about her opening up to the public and speaking about her years of research about shame, vulnerability, hurt, blaming....

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

This needs to be part of every school! Every family and every Business! I feel like there is such a need of practising vulnerability & authenticity whenver more than one person come together. I am so impresed by the way Brené speaks whqt she has to tell! In a way that keeps me wanting to hear more!

Imagine standing on a box in the middle of a busy city, dressed as a white-faced bride, and silently using your eyes to ask people for money. Or touring Europe in a punk cabaret band, and finding a place to sleep each night by reaching out to strangers on Twitter. For Amanda Palmer, actions like these have gone beyond satisfying her basic needs for food and shelter - they've taught her how to turn strangers into friends, build communities, and discover her own giving impulses.

I am stunned by Amandas openess describing her sometimes daily struggles with her "Fraud Police" This book inspires me believe in what I want in my life and to go do and get it! To create and let other create with me . I see now why asking makes me so vulnerable and that it is a gift we can give each other every day. The git of connectiin and to see and be seen! ××× Thank you Amanda! ♡
