The plot is somewhat different to the movie, and has many more twists. Really great work, and also the reading performance is really good. Enjoyed it very much.

Polls reveal that 85 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy behind Lee Harvey Oswald. Some even believe Oswald was entirely innocent. In this encyclopedic, absorbing audiobook, Vincent Bugliosi shows how the public has come to believe such lies about the day that changed the course of history. Bugliosi has devoted almost 20 years of his life to this project, and is determined to show that, despite the overwhelming popular perception, Oswald killed Kennedy and acted alone.

This is probably the most detailed account of the Kennedy assasination. Basically more than half of the boom is dedicated to a minute-by-minute account of the fatal days in November 1963. The second half is then dedicated to all sorts of conspiracy theories, debunking all of them on a one-by-one basis.

I'm very interested in this topic, and I've read quite a few accounts about the Chernobyl disaster over the years, and this is just another one. The author knows a lot about the topic, and I liked his style of writing. After listening to this book, you definitely know the basics about this topic.

However, I didn't like the personal impressions of the author visiting the site in the 2011 or so. This gives the book a very personal touch, and some impressions are very interesting to read, but they take up half of the book, since very second chapter is dedicated for this.

The National Security Agency was born out of the legendary codebreaking programs of World War II that cracked the famed Enigma machine and other German and Japanese codes, thereby turning the tide of Allied victory. In the postwar years, as the United States developed a new enemy in the Soviet Union, our intelligence community found itself targeting not soldiers on the battlefield, but suspected spies, foreign leaders, and even American citizens.

It is really eye opening to read about the history of the NSA, its predecessors and intelligence in the Cold War in general. What was suprising even to me, although I'm already familiar with the topic, was how early on and with what sophistication the intelligence services were engaged in high-level spionage. Also the differences between the US, which tried to tackle the problem by technical means and was notoriously bad with actual spies, and the USSR, which was quite good on the people side of things, but was lacking behind the US, when it comes to technology. In hindsight all what the public learnt from the Snowden leaks is little surprising given what the NSA was already doing in the 40s/50s/60s. I would recommend this read to anyone interested in modern day espionage.

Only the year before, three astronauts had burned to death in their spacecraft, and since then the Apollo program had suffered one setback after another. Meanwhile, the Russians were winning the space race, the Cold War was getting hotter by the month, and President Kennedy's promise to put a man on the moon by the end of the decade seemed sure to be broken.

This book contains many details about the early years of cybercrime. Unfortunately most people are not aware of the fact that such things have been happening for such a long time already, and how involved former Soviet nations actually have been from the very beginning. Also the first half about various Poker sites and how corrupt they are is very eye opening. Good narration style, interesting story.

In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.
