While the voices for established characters sound less rugged, the Emperor's children's traits are perfectly captured.

The worst Eisenhorn, but still one of the best WH

This book man...
By the time the short stories ended - sometimes thinking 'what tf has this to do with Eisenhorn?', sometimes thinking 'how is this not a longer book?' - I didn't even recognize that the main story had finally started.

While I appreciate the nods to the short stories and their characters, a few of the connections drawn were superficial at best and unnecessary at worst. The protagonist for the main story was in my opinion way too weak to carry the story forward and I had no sympathies for him left. I wanted Eisenhorn or any other of his consorts but not the one Dan ultimately chose. He was unlikable, and while acting as a moral counterpart to Eisenhorn, the story didn't result in a real change to Eisenhorn. Instead the protagonist got one, the one I thought I would not mind dying. Same for his love interest to be frank.

The fun thing about this book is, that the parts where the author chose another point of view- namely any other than the protagonist's - it was so good. It left me wanting more. Just not like this.

If the Black Library ever chooses to publish another one of these I think I'd rather skip it.

Only finished the introduction

The author promises the world and through a little research I found out, he didn't.

This book is unnecessarily long. The author tells success stories of other users of the Wim Hof method, proceeds to criticize their results and at the end tells his own story which he then does not criticize. Rather he attributes his success to himself.
The author strikes me as unlikeable and makes this book a drag to go through. The structure is also a bit of a mix-up. You will get some interesting questions to which you will only get the answer an hour or more later. In-between you will find some unrelated things.

Actionable content is sometimes hidden in the stories so it is encouraged to listen to the whole thing (even though the author's climbing story is utterly unnecessary).
The Win Hof Method is mostly packed into the first few chapters for which I commend the author and the first few hours are very interesting and well written but as the book goes on I found myself getting annoyed at the author for his structural choices and his attitude towards the people he encounters and gets to work with.

So in conclusion,
I'd recommend the book by Koen De Jong instead. Shorter, more concise, and just as good if not way better.

I think only Rosario Dawson could do it better. Given that Marc Visitor did Croaker.

This book concisely conveys what is needed theoretically and practically to get an intuitive design and it is really a game changer as it provides realistic measures to evaluate a design. Would definitely recommend and it's worth it's length in gold.

I would recommend it to anyone interested in designing UI, UX and Web Developers alike.

The author really crafted a great book here. Clear and concise.
An extended edition with additional discussions on system design would be much appreciated.

While this book is more suited to intermediate investors it also provides insights into financial decision making for beginners.
So the things one can learn here are really invaluable to any investor.
Keep a pen and paper handy and mind the time gap between release and purchase/listen date!

While Jim Cramer's narration style (and voice) was bothering me in the beginning I soon came to like it and I would advise anyone to give it a chance!
Recommended.

Empfehlung:
Ja, falls man finanzielle Planung unter Berücksichtigung einer Theorie näher kennen lernen will.
Ansonsten nein.
