I enjoyed this book very much, I can say one of my top faviorite novels that I've read till now. Good line of story without much complications. Characters are well developed and the ending was satisfactory.
Also Narrator's voice and tone was perfectly matched with each character as I could easily say who is speaking even before hearing the name. I recommend it for people who like to hear a well built story.

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

  • I wish Detrice would stick to the same voices!!

As always can't complain about GRRM's writing talent. Audio book was better than I expected, voices for different characters were done on satisfactory level, but I think it should be read by at least 3 persons due to high number of characters involved in the book. highly recommended.

This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

truely a masterpiece that digs deep into sociology, psychology and reviews the human main needs, fears and conditions under pressure. I personally believe that the ending could be more exciting but nevertheless it didn't disappoint, recommended for everyone who wants to read a perfectly written novel

Headstrong journalist Anna Rothman knows what suicide looks like - her own husband killed himself five years ago. When Elly Swift, an agitated passenger beside her on a train, leaves a locket in Anna's bag before jumping onto the tracks, Anna starts asking questions. But everything points to suicide and the police close the case. However, Anna believes that Elly's fears for Toby, her young nephew who was snatched from St. Stephen's church six months ago, fail to explain the true reason behind Elly's distress.
