Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

this book is in my opinion only for those who are not satisfied with small antidotes of SoI&F history.

Detective Carl Morck has received a bottle that holds an old and decayed message written in blood. It's a cry for help from two young brothers, tied and bound in a boathouse by the sea. After floating in the ocean for years before turning up, the bottle sat forgotten, unopened, on a police department windowsill, before the seal was cracked and the gruesome message, written in Danish, was analyzed. Could it be real? Who are these boys, and why weren't they reported missing? Could they possibly still be alive?

This is story was weaker than the first and second. This reader sounded board to me. I enjoyed the first one more.

Yesterday John Fontanelli was just a pizza delivery guy in New York City. One day later, he's the richest man in the world. One trillion dollars - one million times one million - $1,000,000,000,000: more money than anyone could imagine. For generations the Vacchis, an old Italian family of lawyers and asset managers, had supervised the fortune as it grew over five hundred years, until one particular date that the benefactor had stipulated in his will.

Was hat Ihnen am allerbesten an One Trillion Dollars gefallen?

This book is a must not just for economy and finance freaks but especially those who wants to save the environment or the poor.

Welcher Moment von One Trillion Dollars ist Ihnen besonders im Gedächtnis geblieben?

Having 1 trillion dollars is having a lot of power, thus you have a large responsibility. Forget about the saying „letting your money work for you" here you will learn that this is just a pretty lie we tell ourselves.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

If you thought being stuck on a deserted island was rough imagine that island is Mars and help was literally months away.
The Martian is about fighting for survival, solving problems, making the impossible possible and most important never giving up hope.
The only negative thing I could comment on are the accents R.C.Bray tries to do, but it's only a fraction of this magnificent story.
