I've been circiling around this audiobook for quite some time. I've felt that 1 credit for 5 hours was too much. I try to always get 8+ hours. But I have been intrigued by Miranda and Colin since they were introduced in I"'m dreaming an undead Christmas" and now I couldn't hold out any longer.
There really should have been more, the story was fun and cute but rushed and therefore lost something along the way. Should it ever get republished, I hope Molly Harper will give it a few more chapters.

I’ve read it three times already and every time I enjoyed it. I know it belongs to the classic supernatural – romance category but sometimes a nice and easy book to enjoy is just the right thing, we can’t always read Tolkien.

This is a book for Teens and those who want the typical girl book with a clumsy heroin who needs saving and lots of hot guys. In the beginning I thought; finally a heroin who though clumsy has character! But the more the story moves on the more we are served with strong chests and bulging arms. Our heroin is constantly slung over shoulders and pulled against big chests, very much like a cave women used to be. Not to forget she constantly belittles herself.

Through all this I still wouldn’t say this is a bad story, it’s just a typical girly book and easy read. The one thing that I had to really focus on at first was keeping the boys apart. You get used to it.

So far it’s my least favourite series from Jane Washington, but I will go through it with until the end!

It took me 2 days to get through this book. At first I was devastated to learn that it wouldn’t continue where Empire of Storms left off but I’m happy to read more about Chaol and Nesryn. This book really made me go through alot, mostly I tried to suppress my urge to smack Chaol because his naive and bias character often was a hurdle.

Nasryn is fast becoming a favorite, she has spunk and doesn’t take bullsh*t. I’m happy to know that she won’t be alone and that she has found a home of the heart.

A lot of new characters are introduced during this book and some already have a connection to our older well-loved characters in the story. This is a must read in the series! Do not leave it out!

A surprisingly originals twist to the common supernatural books out there. Vampires, ghouls, mummies and demons are just a few in this wonderfully witty and highly entertaining book that we are introduced to. I am greatly enjoying every second and don’t know whether to read on faster for the pure joy of the story or slower to keep it going longer!

For anyone who enjoys the supernatural, a mix of the past, the present and the future all wrapped up with wit and fun, you will love this book!

You will find that Jaymin Eve has worked together with Jane Washington before, that is how I got to know about her.

Aliens! They don’t show up that often in books, well…they do, but not in the books I choose to read. I’ve finished the first book in the series and will move on to the second soon. I’m sad to see that the main characters will change but at the same time I’m happy that we stay in the same ‘world’.

This is a good YA book. For those who enjoy a supernatural teen romance this novel might be the book for you, for the in-between. You will find that we get a crying female lead which can get on your nerves but if that doesn’t bother you, give it a try. (If Curse of the Gods didn’t scare you away than this female lead wont either)

A last kernel of doubt

I have just this moment finished Kingdom of Ash and my first thought was WHAT? There is no denying that this is a wonderful addition to the Throne of Glass series but my first conclusive thoughts were:

-What about Nox?
-Huh, I’d like to have had some more details about the hidden fea of Terrasen and how Aelin found them in the first place.
-There has got to be a follow-up!

Otherwise it would just be too cruel. I agree that some times its better not to find out what happens in years to come because that gives the readers their own choice of follow-up, but in a series that this SO filled with detail it really will drive `some´ (me) of us crazy!

I also have to word my…mystification that follows and continues from chapter 108. I’m not talking about the death that occurs in that chapter but I just can’t get rid of the feeling that at that point the `ending´ of the book underwent A LOT of editing. I was left feeling that a lot of scenes were cut out or kept too short.
I know that this is a LONG book and any longer would have been too much but really, I’d rather have had an 8th book (and the wait) to the series but therefor a better rounded ending. It could have ended where the golden army came out of forest, for example.

My feelings are confused, on one hand I am happy that the last book is out but really, on the other hand I’m also disappointed that I’m left with a negative taste in my mouth. There were so many scenes that left me crying because it was so heart wrenching (because of the wonderful writing and plot flow) but at the end I’m really left with regret. It feels like a chasm and that’s not a great feeling to end off with. At the end there where a lot of question-marks.

That is why I can’t give it a 5/5. It’s a great book, worth every praise, as is the whole series but there is that last kernel of doubt that tells me not quite there.

All those moments which we were only hinted at during the Half-Moon Hollow series are opened up to us in this short but tantalizing preview/sequel to Dick and Andreas story. Dicks underhanded methods to get what he wants and their first date wedding fiasco are only two instances which we get a closer look at. It saddens me that its more like a sneak-peek than a whole book but one must be patient and hope for more or resort to fantasizing.

A cute and slightly scary story that like all Molly Harper books is read by Amanda Ronconi. A fast paced enjoyable story for on the go or a quiet evening at home. Intriguing characters that liven up the listing experience, although there are some places and characteristics that overlap with the Half-Moon Hollow series, I'd still recommend this book.

If you’re a fan of Alice in Wonderland, enjoy a dark twist and don’t shy from a little cruelty then this is the book for you. Plus it’s a trilogy!

I would place this series in the top 10. Although I loved reading the first book and am in the middle of the second, I have noticed that I am going through it slowly (with my normal reading pace, I take 3-4 days per book). I think that’s because this is a heavy kind of story. There is so much going on, that you first have to wrap your mind around all that’s happened. It’s a bewildering feeling, for I want to know what happens and want to continue reading but at some point my brain just stops with the uptake and I have to put it down.

So in summary: this is a new Alice in wonderland book, with a highly entertaining dark and moody atmosphere, dubious characters and more than one plot twist. Think: the Brothers Grimm meets Alice in wonderland.
