the book goes on tangents all the time.

the narrator doesn't pause for headlines, quotes, chapter headings, etc - really just a flow of blah blah.

and then I realized the guy is a complete fraud. for instance, he says in 1981 his dad and he "computered up", bought a C64 home computer, bundled with a Matrix printer.

The C64 was released in the 3rd quarter of 1982.

Seriously, authors need to stop normalizing extraordinary and traumatic circumstances involving human death and polytrauma to every day situations.

Otherwise an acceptable book, but 2 or 3 of the chapters are just far out there in glorifying the military.

some original concepts are drowned out by what is mostly a half assed rehash of getting things done.

I can recognize myself in several of the examples, and realistic success and failure stories are presented.

It isn't a good book for people with ADHD to follow through because of the monotonous narrator and long excursions to different topics.

still a worthy listen.

This book repeatedly conflates sexual and romantic success with professional success for women.

It exclusively suggests superficial tricks, many of which are applicable, but the author's value system is disturbing.

This is peak boomer style patronizing.

... Extremely arrogant and Conservative view on ADHD.

This book gives some good examples but ends up being very condescending and patronising.

Amazingly fun to listen, very well narrated, passionate and relatable.

Out of 5 books so far on Adult ADHD, this was by far the best.

Some of it is still unscientific, but Peter Shankman manages to build a compelling and motivating case that ADHD can be a blessing, and describes how.

It doesn't provide any proper answers, and dives into religious topics a little too happily, but the book touches on MANY important and bewildering problems we face in a Post-Trump world.

Bullet point - Terrible Experience - open parenthesis - and I mean it - close parenthesis

Bullet Point - Clear voice but totally idiotic reader.

Bullet Point - The book has a lot of lists - open parenthesis - and things in parentheses - close parenthesis

Bullet Point - begin quote - A little - end quote exaggeration is not what is happening here, it really is this bad.

Bullet Point - The narrator emphasizes every single item of punctuation.

Bullet Point - This is terrible because the book has many bullet point lists and parentheses

A weird hodgepodge of various science tidbits trying to explain the human psyche. Written by a nonscientific person, which raises many red flags.

Not a good book, frustrating to listen to.

Speaker is also not very engaging, but speaks clearly.

Avoid this book.
