Brandon Webb has run life-threatening missions in the world's worst trouble spots, whether that meant jumping out of airplanes, taking down hostile ships on the open sea, or rolling prisoners in the dead of night in the mountains of Afghanistan. As a Navy SEAL, he learned how to manage the natural impulse to panic in the face of terrifying situations. As media CEO and national television commentator, he has learned how to apply those same skills in civilian life.

Great book to learn how to manage fear. Although it has "Navy SEAL's Guide" on the title, it has nothing to do with military but rather with how we manage our fear. It has personal stories (civilian and military) and stories from other people to explain the concepts. Contrary to "Can't Hurt Me" from David Goggins, this is actually a book on how to work your mindset without pain or suffering :).
I Recommend this book to anyone who dreams to quit their job and start a business, or to any entrepreneur who struggles with decision making.

The first chapters are a bit depressing as the author paints a very dark world ahead of us, with all the possible futures. It is however important for us to reflect on those possible futures and how can we change. Overall it's a great book to discuss and think about the future of humanity.

With an introduction by Will Self. A classic work of psychology, this international best seller provides a groundbreaking insight into the human mind. If a man has lost a leg or an eye, he knows he has lost a leg or an eye; but if he has lost a self - himself - he cannot know it, because he is no longer there to know it. In this extraordinary book, Dr. Oliver Sacks recounts the stories of patients struggling to adapt to often bizarre worlds of neurological disorder.

it is a little out dated as it's a book from 1980's. The narrative is mostly dramatized, even though it's about medical patients.

Letting Go describes a simple and effective means by which to let go of the obstacles to enlightenment and become free of negativity. During the many decades of the author's clinical psychiatric practice, the primary aim was to seek the most effective ways to relieve human suffering in all of its many forms. The inner mechanism of surrender was found to be of great practical benefit and is described in this book.

Talks much about spirituality, miracles and super powers. However I agree that it's important for ones life, accept ourselves and learn how to let go. Unfortunately I couldn't understand in the end how to do that nor what does that mean. "You feel sad, you just have to surrender and let go"...ok...but how? what does surrender mean? And how do we let go?
