What is reality? Ask yourself whether you can actually know the answer, much less be sure that you can know it, and you've begun to grapple with the metaphysical and epistemological quandaries that have occupied, teased, and tormented modern philosophy's greatest intellects since the dawn of modern science and a century before the Enlightenment.

The best so far.

I think it's the fourth introduction to (modern) philosophy that I've read or heard and it's the best so far. I like its balance between depth and intelligibility. The balance between description of the discussed author's lives + anecdotes and their philosophy. The cross references are very helpful as well as the careful evaluation. As far as I can judge there is no hidden agenda or opinion of the author intermingled (except maybe the author's evaluation of Marxism). But the most important and best thing about this audio book is the ability of the author to break all these complex things and thoughts down to comprehensible bits. Simply love it!
