The techniques described in this book do not come from a classroom, they come of trial and error in situations of life and death.

Some techniques are:
Labelling - label what your counterpart is feeling
Mirrors - mirror them so they feel at ease
Open-ended questions - let them do the talk. Gather information.

The author seems to like systems. There is an interview with him from many years ago, on youtube, where he speaks of systems for writing novels. And this book is the same but for brand communication.

While reading the book I also worked, as Miller recommends, on the message of my brand. With good results.

This book has turned out very usefull for me. I therefore recommend it to every business owner or people in marketing.

What did Charles Darwin, middling schoolboy and underachieving second son, do to become one of the earliest and greatest naturalists the world has known? What were the similar choices made by Mozart and by Caesar Rodriguez, the U.S. Air Force's last ace fighter pilot? In Mastery, Robert Greene's fifth book, he mines the biographies of great historical figures for clues about gaining control over our own lives and destinies. Picking up where The 48 Laws of Power left off, Greene culls years of research and original interviews to blend historical anecdote and psychological insight, distilling the universal ingredients of the world's masters.

Professor Roberto narrates naturally and with emotion. I am hearing this audio now for the second time and will look now for other books of this author.

They are not only the boss but also the salesperson, HR manager, copywriter, operations manager, online marketing guru, and so much more. It's no wonder so many people give up the dream of starting a business - it's just too much for one person to handle. But outsourcing expert and "Virtual CEO" Chris Ducker knows how you can get the help you need with resources you can afford.

Facebook, PayPal, Alibaba, Uber - these seemingly disparate companies have upended entire industries by harnessing a single phenomenon: the platform business model. Platform Revolution delivers the first comprehensive analysis of how platforms use technology to match producers and consumers in a multisided marketplace, unlocking hidden resources and creating new forms of value. When a company like Uber connects drivers with passengers, everybody wins - except traditional cab companies, which are scrambling to survive.

A Plattform is a infrastructure where producers and consumers meet. Examples on the online world: youtube, facebook, ebay, skillshare, etc

This book gives you a good understanding of what a plattform is and explains it's dynamics.

The book is dense and sometimes hard to follow. Me as a none english native, I had to hear it 2 times.

I highly recommend this book for those who want to understand how internet businesses work and for those who are thinking of doing something themselves.

Internationally renowned psychiatrist, Viktor E. Frankl, endured years of unspeakable horror in Nazi death camps. During, and partly because of his suffering, Dr. Frankl developed a revolutionary approach to psychotherapy known as logotherapy. At the core of his theory is the belief that man's primary motivational force is his search for meaning.

Frankl describes in this book how he saw inmates of the concentration camp dying because they had given up. The ones that survived did so because they had something to look forward to. The meaning gave them the strength to support the suffering.
In another part he says that illnesses as depression or drug abuse are due to a lack of meaning in ones lives...
In this book, Frankl does not tell you what the meaning of life is. Each person has to find that for itself. He is just telling how important it is to find one.
