Very nice, complex and useful introduction to this language learning method with an example lesson to get a first impression of how the lessons are structured.

The "Story" is something what is probable to be encountered in reality and the prononciation of the speakers is clear.

I like it a lot - particularly for a language as hard to learn as Japanese.

I'm sure I'll get the full lessons step by step and see how well I can progress in this. It's pretty awesome, that this is available here on Audible.

Awesome story presented in a way, that draws in

...the listener with its wonderful arrangement, awesome voice quality and the original sound effects of the Star Wars Universe.

It's pretty much creating another movie in the listeners' imagination.

The story culminates and comes to what feels like a beautiful end/conclusion. I never got bored during the story and sometimes even stepped back a few phrases/sentences or even a chapter since I really wanted to understand what was going on in the sometimes fast-paced course of events (who knows the series, can probably imagine, that events will occur in a much denser frequency in this finale of the series). The cast and well distinguishable voices of the characters help a lot keeping an overview in these scenarios and is – just as in the previous parts and in my humble opinion, of course – very skilled in conveying the emotions of the protagonists. I’ll most definitely listen to the series a few more times since it’s altogether one of the most beautifully written stories – including a plausible approach to the Mystery, that “Consciousness” still represents to Science, as much as “Dark Matter” and “Dark Energy” does. And the idea of forming such an – as I would intuitively call it – “Epic” around it, makes it an even more exciting field to me now. Well, whatever we will find out about the Mysteries in a later time, the “Gedankenexperiment” (thought experiment) of these novels will certainly be one of the most intriguing approaches to this topic, that no one can at this point approach with the slightest glimpse of certainty. And yet, the imaginations, that Mr. Pullman presents in his series, are astonishingly fascinating and even feel plausibly woven with the current scientific facts. And the way, the novels also interconnect science with religious mythology/belief, are also part of their fascinating attraction to me. All in all, I can 100% recommend this novel (series) for everyone with the slightest philosophical inclination, regardless if from the theological or scientific community.

In the first part of the book, I thought:
"If it's going to go on like that for the rest of the book, it's not going to be that entertaining."

I've gotten a scientific story book about dolphins when I was a teenager once and it wasn't really catching my attention much so far.

But this story came with giant positive surprise...which the first part of the book only gives a small glimpse at subtly, but as it "flows" on, it builds the foundation of the really awesome (scientific) fiction story, that follows in its wake.

I highly recommend it - together with saving whales by watching them instead of eating them and listening to their sounds during the reading breaks of the book...it's really something.
And I was positively "wow-ed", surprised and inspired to giggles and laughter at quite a few parts.
Not as breath-takingly as with the author's book "The Lamb", but in a more gentle and still subtly smart way.

I especially like the educational parts in the fiction, which is also pointed out again in a comment at the end of the book.

All in all: fascinating.
And: patience comes with rewards in this book since the slow and seemingly (and only that!) long-winded start paints the surface of the context and its characters calmly, but with slight hints on what's to come. But I never expected this kind of story to unfold as it did in the following parts.
So, I love stories, that aren't predictable like this one...and still plausible fiction, mixed with enough scientific facts, that makes it even more exciting - as entertainment combined with learning is still the best way to learn, i.m.h.o.

Others might differ, but my imagination was loving this journey a lot and I thank the author for his story and the reader to present it the way he did. I might probably be more excited reading it, but the calm attitude fits the characters and also changes in the later parts enough to feel the excitement there.

The story would probably make an interesting movie, too. I'd watch it. 😉

Beautifully performed and read story

I love the whole book after having seen the movie before so much more.

It's so much more complex and exciting.
I can hardly find a favorite part since all of it was so fascinatingly complex and surprising.

The development of the story is my favorite part since it couldn't truly be anticipated by empathizing the complexity of (social) interactions of the main characters.
And that seems to be an essential part of what makes for a good story to me at least.

The cast also beautifully and skillfully presents these complex inner/personal and social developments.
I'm excited to listen to the next part(s) in the following months.

Beautifully told story, that itself is marvelous

I've started to read the Silmarillion as a book and stopped after a while since it got too confusing.

But listening to this reader, who also modulates his voice for better differentiation of the characters, finally got me hooked and through this wonderful epic by Mr. Tolkien.

And I most certainly recommend it to everyone else, who is also interested in the epic history of the World of Middle Earth/Arda and how it came to be.
