Annabeth is terrified. Just when she’s about to be reunited with Percy - after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera - it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon figurehead, Leo’s fantastical creation doesn’t appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans.

It took me two months, but I've finally finished it. I love the narrator, Joshua Swanson. His narration really brings the story to life and adds some extra humor. I'm very sad he didn't record the last two books in the series too.

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: If he doesn't play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone's business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he's been emailing with, will be compromised.

This book put such a huge smile on my face. I couldn't stop listening! The narrator is awesome and the characters are all super loveable. Simon is relatable and fun and I just wanted to squish his cheeks. His friends are awesome and YES it's all a little too perfect, but if you're looking for a contemporary romance to make you feel good, this is the one.

Four high school seniors put their hopes, hearts, and humanity on the line as an asteroid hurtles toward Earth in this contemporary novel. They always say that high school is the best time of your life. Peter, the star basketball player at his school, is worried "they" might actually be right. Meanwhile Eliza can't wait to escape Seattle - and her reputation - and perfect-on-paper Anita wonders if admission to Princeton is worth the price of abandoning her real dreams.

I loved Eliza's reader! The others were good too. I enjoyed the book, and I think the writing is beautiful. It's very character-driven, so don't expect a very tight plot. It's basically about the protagonists figuring out who they are and how inaccurate labels can be. They have to decide what they want to do with the (possibly) last days of their life and what matters most to them. There was a little too much teenage angst for my taste, but it was very well done. Can recommend!
