I’m the easygoing one. The fun one. The rare member of my family who gets along with anyone. Except there’s a chance I may have got off on the wrong foot with our new dragon liaison, Ronan. In my defense, he rubs everyone the wrong way. The only thing he’s got going for him is his looks… if the miserable frown weren’t there to mar them. But he seems to be trying harder to connect, and I guess I should do the same. Even if his arrival here was the beginning of all my problems.

When I cross the line and guilt compels me to apologize, I get my first glimpse of a different Ronan. Someone who enjoys baking, thinks glitter is amazing, and wants people to like him. Someone I could be friends with. And when that frown disappears? I want more than just friendship.

But there’s something going on with him, something he’s been carrying for a long time. He’s been hurt before, and the secrets he’s keeping are the kind that eat you inside. How can we take things to the next step if he can’t be open with me?

It’s only when he steps up to make all my dreams come true that I realize some secrets need to stay that way… and that loving Ronan means accepting him for who he really is.

As always, it was a great story, good character development, Joel Leslie is a great reader and I was moved to tears by Ronan's backstory again. Hopefully, we don't have to fully say goodbye to the world and their characters.

Sad to leave the series behind!

Wiedermal absolut gelungen. Toller Abschluss einer wundervollen Reihe.
Zu meiner Schande muss ich gestehen, dass ich erst vor kurzem diese Serie als Teil der anderen erkannt habe. Aber ich hab sie dann auch an einem Wochenende durchgesuchtet! Go me!
Und als erstes habe ich nach Ro gesucht. Ich war so happy als ich gesehen habe das er nun endlich ein HEA bekommt. Und es war wirklich gut umgesetzt. Endlich mehr von den grumpy Dämonen, und coole Auftritte der ehemaligen Protagonisten. Ich hab zwischenzeitlich so gelacht. Und manchmal ein Tränchen verdrückt.
Ich könnte noch weitere Bücher vertragen! Aber langsam gehen die Nebencharaktere aus die noch Single sind. Vielleicht können wir noch auf ein soecial mit Kinder hoffen...?
Joel lesley hat wunderbar gelesen! Und es ist so grandios das die ganzen Bücher von ihm gesprochen werden. So bleiben die Charaktere immer gleich. Ich liebe es!

Ronan and Stephan's story arc through both series makes me so happy for them. Their resiliance is so inspiring.
Zac and Ronan, and what they learnt about themselves and then each other is so beautiful - their way to find each other was not easy, but so worth it.
The matriarch of Zac's family was very headstrong, demanding and frightening - it was so good to see, that she is still able to learn.
Books read by Joel Leslie get better because they are read by him.
