À propos de ce titre

Corin Cadence has been summoned to meet with the Emerald Council, a political summit including the most powerful of all attuned and their closest political allies.

His summons came with a dire warning—that war was coming to the nation of Valia. While Valia is no stranger to warfare, the circumstances of this invasion are dire.

Valia's visage, Tenjin, remains missing. Many of the nation's leaders were slain during Mizuchi's attack, and others killed or injured through Saffron's machinations. With a critical power vacuum in Valia's leadership, few can be trusted.

Surrounded by old enemies, tenuous allies, and strangers with their own agendas, Corin will need to leverage every skill he's learned to help salvage his nation's fate.

Includes a sneak peek—in both PDF and audio—of Edge of the Woods, book one of The Lost Edge series set within the Arcane Ascension universe and available now in ebook, print, and audio!

Nothing more to add, really.
Except maybe praising the omnipotent Mr. Podehl.
It may not be for everyone, but it certainly works for me.

Long live nerdism.

The fights and the characters are great again. The narrator is awesome. I waited a long time for this and now we have to wait again to see how it will end.
overall it is a good 5th book, but the main character is loosing himself a little bit too often and too long in inner monologs about different mana types and how to count them.

A good 5 book

I have listened to everything Andrew Rowe has written so far so I am invested in the AA, WW, WobM universe and the stories around Keras and Corrin. I am also aware that C is a special cookie and that is reflected in his I-POV style of narrating but for the love of mankind...I have skipped over what seemed like hours of mana type descriptions. It was more like an IT lecture than an audio book you actually enjoy. One of the things I love about the series is the mechanics of the magic system but in book 5 it has officially become bothersome.

In the parts that do not consist of the protagonist lectur...pondering about mana types and the inner workings of attunements the plot and fights are actually quite nice including some real badass moments.

Overall enjoyable but the style of writing is just not good enough to keep me interested indefinitely in how the story will work out.

Overall ok but there are so many boring parts

I like the concept of this story a lot and really want to know how it continues. I may stop listening after the next volume though (if it isn't the end anyway): recurring drawn out tournament style battles in too many of the volumes, including this one, characters taking turns monologing exposition and slow story progression beyond what seems organic, only started to get more interesting in the latter half of the book.

I really like the concept of this series
