This book was such a feel-good, uplifting and wholesome book. It made me feel giddy and I grinned a lot while listening. The banter was so adorable.

The story has a great plot and in itself is really good. But what stood out to me the most is how the characters are written. They really grew on me. Each personality is unique and their emotions are beautifully depicted and really catch the reader /listener.

Very interesting story that had me wondering how the conflict around the ‚forbidden‘ relationship would be resolved until the last second. The protagonists are likable, with individual flaws and quirks which make them feel believable and real. The premise of the story and the portrayal of the modern day british society, politics and the royal family did feel realistic and thought through - at least to a fellow european who doesn‘t really stay up to date on anything of the above.

The narration was what really stood out for me though. Accents, emotions and thoughts are brought to life superbly by Gary Furlong, whose performance kept me immersed throughout the whole story.
