À propos de ce titre
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this tour de force from the undisputed King of Horror, a young family confronts an unspeakable evil in the harsh isolation of winter in the Rocky Mountains.

“An undisputed master of suspense and terror.” —The Washington Post

Jack Torrance’s new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect chance for a fresh start. As the off-season caretaker at the atmospheric old hotel, he’ll have plenty of time to spend reconnecting with his family and working on his writing. But when the oppressive winter weather sets in, the idyllic location feels ever more remote . . . and more sinister. As strange and terrible forces gather around the Overlook, the only one to notice is the uniquely gifted five-year-old Danny Torrance—yet the true horror lurking within its walls is beyond human comprehension. Horror Thriller Übernatürliches

Overall a nice listen, though not a 5 star rating. The characters annoyed me from time to time as well as some “scary” moments felt rather cringe.

As someone who has only seen the movie i see why S.King did not like it. The Book is way better and digs itself deeper into the Madness of said hotel and all ist Influencers.. What a fantastic road to Madness this was.. Take your medicine!

Classic

First suspense/horror novel I've listened to and it was an incredible experience. Wonderfully written tragedy on being haunted by the ghosts of our ancestors. The narrator sounded well trained and not overacted, but very vivid and believable at the same time. I can highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good story with some supernatural elements!

Great story and vividly narrated

Just love it. What is more to say? Excellently read and still horrifying. Read it first time when I was 12, now even more intense.

Sehr gut gelesen
