C.R. Jane
A star athlete crosses the line from passion into obsession in this darkly addictive hockey-romance novel from USA Today–bestselling author C.R. Jane.
"Give me a second chance, babe . . . and I'll blow your mind."
Monroe doesn't know why she answers the text that's obviously meant for someone else. Or why she keeps answering. Maybe it's because she's all alone in a big city and in desperate need of a lifeline. Or maybe it's because each exchange leaves her intrigued and more than a little turned on.
Still, Monroe never would've snarked back if she'd known she was talking to the "Golden Boy" of the Dallas Knights. She couldn't care less about Lincoln Daniels' hockey-god status, and this only seems to attract him more. He's used to scoring on and off the ice, and now he's obsessed with his next goal: making Monroe his—no matter what it takes.
"Intense" doesn't begin to cover the way Lincoln pursues her. But despite the red flags, Monroe starts to crave the way he makes her feel really, truly wanted . . . Maybe Mr. Wrong Number is actually Mr. Right.

Monroe is #notlikeothergirls and everyone who sees her immediately wants to get into her panties… and don’t even get me started on the walking red flag that is Lincoln Daniels...
While I usually like a unhinged, obsessed and morally dark grey character (zade meadows *coughcough*), this felt as if Lily Bloom stayed in a relationship with Ryle.
The writing was mid and full of clichés. Overall I can’t recommend this and I will not continue the series.
Alexis Page was okay as a narrator, but her audio quality was horrible. Troy Duran was as perfect as always!

stalking, making someone depended on oneselfs, unconsentional oral sex, keeping someone locked up so they don't leave, drugging someone to knock them out,
other triggers: mother ODing, atemted sexual assult from the foster father
the list isn't complet but a taste of the book
way darker then i expected
