À propos de ce titre

Every novella by Ursula K. Le Guin, an icon in American literature, collected for the first time - and introduced by the legendary author - in one breathtaking volume.

Ursula K. Le Guin has won multiple prizes and accolades, from the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters to the Newbery Honor, Nebula, Hugo, World Fantasy, and PEN/Malamud awards. She has had her work collected over the years but never as a complete retrospective of her longer works, as represented in the wonderful The Found and the Lost. This collection is a literary treasure chest that belongs in every home library.

I thought Le Guin only wrote Earthsea.

I was wrong.

I have had the pleasure to discover another 2 universes, that of the Acumen (spelled right?), an SD universe and that of Coyote - where we might Don Genaro or Carlos C. drop by.

Plus, at the very end, an SF tale about a space expidition to a far out planet where things run unexpectedly, but not due to powers of chaos but those of order, which I have found of great interest.

Quite a treat!

Well spoken by both speakers, job well done indeed!

Outstanding collection of timeless novellas

I cannot find any written information about the content of the audiobook, nor to which story each chapter belongs. It is very annoying, since it makes it extremely difficult to find and listen again any particular story when I want to.

book ok, but data is missing

Not what I expected after listening to “A Wizard of Earthsea”. I guess it is - as most of the ratings say - an ‘outstanding collection’ of ‘literary jewels’. However, if you expect stories similar to the Earthsea Tales, don’t bother buying it. There’s only one story that belongs to the “Tales”.. Even though “Vaster Than Empires and More Slow” and “Buffalo Gals, Won’t You Come out Tonight” are definitely worth to listen to, I couldn’t bear to listen to the great part of the novellas as there’s far too much foul language for my taste.

Disappointed
