À propos de ce titre

A step-by-step guide to creating wholeness and healing your inner child using IFS, a new, cutting-edge psychotherapy.

Understand your psyche in a clear and comprehensive way, and resolve deep-seated emotional issues. Self-Therapy makes the power of a cutting-edge psychotherapy approach accessible to everyone. Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) has been spreading rapidly across the country over the past decade. It is incredibly effective on a wide variety of life issues, such as self-esteem, procrastination, depression, and relationship issues. IFS is also user friendly; it helps you to comprehend the complexity of your psyche. Dr. Earley shows how IFS is a complete method for psychological healing that you can use on your own.

Self-Therapy is also helpful for therapists because it presents the IFS model in such detail that it is a manual for the method.

As it is easier for me to listen to audiobooks then read them i was very happy this book is available in such a format. The voice is somewhat monotone but the quality is good and understandable. I am very happy to have found this resource on IFS and will come back to it as a reference intermittently.

Excellent audiobook for personal growth

As I have difficulties concentrating on reading, I usually rather listen to audiobooks.

This books was highly recommended yo be by my counselor and Inhad started reading it, but wanted to dive in faster.

I know voicing audiobooks is difficult (I have some semi-professional experience myself), so this critique isn't easy for me to write; but I think it could be valuable for future listeners and probably as a feedback for editors and voice actors.

The female voice actress has a good intonation and speaks lively, just a little too fast. Also there are some noises as if it wasn't recorded in a vocal booth with good isolation.

The cuts are partly too fast, especially when it comes to "side notes"; there isn't enough time to take in what was said before.

The main voice actor's loudness of voice differs and should have been leveled by the editor. It's partly pretty distracting.
Also, which are the two hardest parts in my experience:
- the tone of voice differs in between. Sometimes it's soft, sometimes it's raspy.
- the intonation lacks nuance. Partly it's not clear to me when a sentence is supposed to end and I have to rewind or look into the book. Partly there are multiple stresses in one sentence, so that it's not clear what the important part is.

Apart from that some words are pronounced rather mumbly, so that I had to guess (or look up).

I'm not a native English speaker, but used to English audiobooks, movies and TV shows.
Maybe to a native speaker it's less problematic.

Also I want to admit that I have very high standards due to training and very sensitive hearing.

I apologise to the voice actor, if this critique comes across as too harsh. As I said: I know it's a hard job.

Great book, subpar narration

The voice acting is atrocious and the so called case transcripts probably never happened. Absolute hogwash

Absolutely cringeworthy voiceacting and dubious/un
