Hier ist es nun: das Finale, der letzte Schlüssel zum Königreich.
Mit jedem weiteren Buch der Reihe wird man von der vielfältigen Phantasie Garth Nix's überrascht; wie er es schafft dem stets gleichen Grundprinzip der Handlung so viel neues und spannendes zu entlocken und sie nun zu einem rundum gelungenen Ende zu führen.
Zur Handlung sei nur gesagt, dass drei packende Handlungsfäden zu guter Letzt zu einem dramatischen Showdown verwoben werden, den nur zu schätzen weiß, wer die Reihe beginnend mit Mister Monday komplett gelesen/gehört hat. Da kaum auf die Vorgeschichte eingegangen wird, ist es empfehlenswert auch dort zu starten.
Allan Corduner lebt wie gewohnt das Geschehen brilliant mit, so dass ein Ohrenschmaus garantiert ist.

Fazit: Großartige Fantasy in der Tradition Michael Endes und jetzt wo ich weiß wie die Geschichte endet, könnte ich glatt die ganze Reihe von vorne starten.
