Schließe mich meiner Vorgängerin komplett an. Die Story ist super. Der perfekte Mix aus Romantik und Fantasy mit der extra Portion Spannung. Ich habe die Trilogie auf deutsch gelesen und jetzt die englischen Hörbücher gefunden und wie immer ist es einfach nochmal besser in der Originalsprache 👍🏼
Der Sprecher hat das Hörerlebnis leider gewaltig verschlechtert… die Stimmen der Frauen waren allesamt grauenvoll. Er hat sich sicher Mühe gegeben, aber für mich als weibliche Hörerin war es unerträglich.
Gott sei dank gab es ab Teil 2 eine bessere Sprecherin ☺️

Das Buch war wieder typisch für Nora Roberts. Die Geschichte ist schnell verstanden und man weiß wie es mit den Charakteren ausgeht. Aber wie immer gibt es Wendungen und Überraschungen. Und es ist echt mal richtig gruslig.
Was gar nicht geht, ist Art wie der Sprecher die Frauen spricht. Das ist super nervig.

Ich will hier gar nichts zum Inhalt schreiben. Da sechs Personen vor mir die Höchstpunktzahl für dieses Hörbuch vergeben hatten, habe ich mir relativ viel versprochen und die Story gefällt mir auch sehr gut. Der Sprecher, Phil Gigante, hingegen geht gar nicht. Man muss ihm anrechnen, dass er jedem Hauptcharakter eine eigene Stimme zu geben versucht, aber die Stimmlagen aller drei weiblichen Protagonistinnen ist einfach furchtbar - hoch und weinerlich und nervig. Wenn ich nicht wüsste, dass Teil 2 und 3 von anderen Sprechern gelesen werden, hätte ich nach der Hälfte des Hörbuchs aufgehört, so schrecklich fand ich's.

Gott sei Dank liest Phil Gigante nur Teil 1
