It's the early 1990s, and in the Irish village of Crossmore, Lucy feels out of place. It was a lovely and romantic story and the reader made it so beautiful to listen to

I could identify with the character cause also had my first (gay) love in a rural and religious surrounding. the author tells this story well, very romantic and authentic, even though sometimes a bit repetitive. The book tells the intensity of first love and the shame and guilt the protagonist feels to a point of denying herself, in the end there's hope to be found.
