I’m a pixie.

If there was a level zero of supernaturals, I’d be on the sub-basement level.

I’m not super-strong or fast or crazy-smart, and the little bit of pixie magic I do have is limited to the most basic things that any human street magician can do.

So when a pack of coyote shifters and their Alpha start hunting me and threatening the only remaining family I have left, I realize I’m going to need some paranormal help to fight them off. I do the only sane thing I can think to do. I flee to Moonhaven Cove and beg help from the local PNW council and the town’s sheriff.

It seemed like such a well-thought-out plan...until the council lets Hux and his creepy pack of coyotes in.

So now, in between dodging homicidal coyote shifters, I’m working with the sexy star elf at his comedy club, helping the unluckiest leprechaun ever avoid carnivorous office equipment, hanging out with a genie, and becoming BFFs with the lion shifter sheriff who is strangely attached to his strawberry yogurt. I don’t really have time for a relationship.

But when Rhys looks at me, I forget the many reasons starting something with him would be a terrible idea. Rhys is tender, kind, flirty, and fun. He makes me laugh. And before long…I can’t imagine living the rest of my life without him.

Trouble, thy name is Paradise Hart.

Pixie Problems is part of my new Moonhaven Cove series. Each book in the series can be listened to as a standalone, but listeners will get a fuller experience hearing them in order. If you’re looking for clean paranormal romance with swoony kisses, snappy dialogue, funny and heartwarming characters, and plenty of suspense and action, you’ve found the right place. Welcome to Moonhaven Cove.

Sadly, I couldn't finish this because the narrator didn't bother to learn how to pronounce a common British name (I'm American and I've known how to pronounce this name since I was a child). It was so grating to hear her call Rhys "Rise" that after the 5th chapter I just knew I couldn't listen to a whole book with it. It's a shame because the story actually was pretty interesting. The world was shaping up to be unique and interesting. I like paranormal romance and urban fantasy, which this fits well into.

If you can tolerate the wrong name (that isn't even a name) for an entire book, then you might like the sassy female lead and refreshing world the author wrote. maybe I'll try to read it rather than listen to it.

Rhys isn't pronounced rise

The series and story has some nice ideas, but it’s poorly fleshed out . Details and main Character back stories are forgotten or not explained at all. Characters are inconsistent and there are inconsistencies within the series itself. It all feels like a first draft , with no editor to rain in cliche phrases. It’s a shame because the story shows some great potential for world building.

tell the narrators how to pronounce the name "Rhys" - it's not rice, it's reece. Annoying.
The story didn't really grip me and most of the time I missed what was going on.

please, somebody
