The Portland Fire end their 16-27 season with a gritty 90-82 overtime victory over the Golden State Valkyries. Bridget Carleton scored 26 points, Jordan Harrison added 10 assists, and Carla Leite sealed the win with a crucial three-point play. Despite severe injuries sidelining six players including Holly Winterburn and Emily Engstler's supporting cast, the Fire showed resilience.

We discuss Bridget Carleton's scoring efficiency, Jordan Harrison's playmaking, and Carla Leite's clutch performance. Key topics include the necessity of retaining Emily Engstler for rim protection, the impact of losing six players to injury, and projections for a 25-30 win season in 2027. We also analyze the loss to the Los Angeles Sparks where Nneka Ogwumike recorded 20 points and 12 rebounds.

This mailbag covers roster battles, defensive spacing issues, and the path to playoff contention.
