A single unsealed envelope in a dead man’s garage held a $420,000 life insurance policy that listed two beneficiaries at the same address - and both names belonged to the same woman. How did a transfer of $1,200 on the third of every month for 17 years, and a pair of legal names split 50/50 on a single policy, hide in plain sight across 41 miles of Route 34?
In this episode, we follow the discovery from a county surveyor’s filing search to an estate attorney’s stunned pause as he reads the policy, tracing a pattern of payments, dual identities, and two towns with no reason to meet. What did Dennis Fowler and Valerie know about the two names that everyone else missed?

Person: Valerie Reynolds
Person: Ralph Hall
Date: October 2019 (Dennis’s death)
