R. K. Berne

R. K. Berne is the pen name of Robert K. Goddard, who adopted a pen name as there are other writers named Robert Goddard. Robert now lives in Mississippi, but grew up in Georgia. He is a graduate of Georgia College and State University, located in Milledgeville, Georgia.

While in college, Robert was active in college theatre and had the male lead in several full-length plays. While living in Brandon, Mississippi, Robert served two terms as a city alderman and was the principal founder of The Black Rose Theatre, a community theatre. Since retiring from a business career, where he served many years as a chief financial officer, he has written two thriller novels, two full-length plays, a series of short stories intended to be published as a book, and is an award winning poet.

Robert served four years in the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 544th Aerospace Technical Reconnaissance Wing of the Strategic Air Command.

Robert's hobbies are pocket billiards and reading. He has read many modern thriller writers and is now reading his way through the top fifty novels of all time; some of them, twice.
