Paolo Ballardini

Paolo has travelled extensively and with a strong preference for uncomfortable places. His travels and life experiences have provided material and inspiration for both his non-fiction stories and his fiction writing. He has lived and worked in Brazil, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the UK, the United States and in Asia. He received a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Roehampton, London and has published in Italian: La solitudine di Ulisse (1999), Passages (2002) Vie scomode all’Eden (2017). In English Far Beyond the Castle (2016), a collection of travel stories and Fairy Tail (2017) a Siberian fairy tale. What Lies Beyond and Other Stories is a collection of fiction stories mixing the real with the surreal. It will be followed by a collection of very short travel stories and a collection of love stories. He lives and writes in London and on Lake Maggiore.
