ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Francis Jones was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and joined the U.S. Marines at just 17 years old. His global travels have fueled his creative journey, providing a rich tapestry of experiences that inspire his work. Francis began his artistic endeavors at age 11 with pencil and ink sketches, later exploring clay sculpting as a teenager. By his mid-30s, he had transitioned to digital art, focusing on 3D modeling and animation for film and games. Now, many years later, he has turned his vivid imagination and unique perspective toward storytelling, crafting engaging and immersive narratives.

Francis has worn many hats since his days in the Marine Corps, including roles as a heavy equipment operator, construction company owner, security specialist, professional bodyguard, digital artist, 3D generalist, creative director, and now published author.

A lifelong martial arts practitioner, Francis draws on his extensive travels across the United States—having lived in or traversed 41 of the 50 states—and his time spent in countries like Japan, Korea, Germany, Australia, and Lebanon. These diverse experiences bring depth and authenticity to his creative work.

Francis grew up between Baltimore and Cumberland, Maryland, and now enjoys a quiet, comfortable life with his wife, Denise in Maryland.

Francis Jones is a Maryland author and member of the Maryland Writers’ Association, writing raw, cinematic stories of crime, loyalty, betrayal, and consequence.
