Bob Lacey

After a 35-year career in the oil and gas industry, Bob Lacey traded the office for the open highway. Together with his wife, Joyce, he now spends his time traveling, golfing, and exploring the roads of Mexico by motorcycle.

Over many winters, they rode thousands of miles through Mexico’s coastlines, mountain roads, villages, and jungles. No route left a greater impression than the legendary Pacific Coast Highway—Route 200—a breathtaking road winding through beaches, cliffs, and remote towns.

Those adventures inspired Bob’s debut novel, Riding Paradise, and later expanded into Jaguar Is Loose and Operation Jaguar. Blending real-world locations with suspense, loyalty, romance, and cartel conflict, the Riding Paradise series captures both the beauty of Mexico and the dangers that exist beyond its spectacular scenery. Bob is currently writing the fourth novel in the series.

Rather than writing a travelogue, Bob wanted to create thrillers that reflect the Mexico seen in today’s headlines while celebrating the country’s remarkable landscapes, culture, and people. His stories combine authentic settings with high-stakes action and unforgettable characters.

Whether you’re a motorcyclist or simply enjoy fast-paced thrillers, the Riding Paradise series invites you onto one of the world’s most unforgettable roads.

The Riding Paradise Series is also available through Kindle Unlimited.
