I'm not 20 anymore (thank God 😂) and I love the fact that there's an author who writes stories about people my age. I already loved The Sex Education of M.E. and After Care was amazing too.
Even if the story involves rock stars (and "normal" people like me do not meet them and fall in love), this story was written very realistic. Edies fight with cancer, her divorce and the relationship to her ex-husband, her feelings (not only for Tommy but also for Ivy and her children) - all her fights and struggles and her victories make her realistic and loveable. And she's a great mother to her children.
To me Tommy seems cold at first, but throughout the story I was more and more convinced that he's a good guy and really loves Evie and he, like Evie, loves his "family" and would do anything for them.
Some scenes made me laugh and some made me cry. But all of them made me love Edie and Tommy and all the other characters in this story.
And who doesn't make mistakes sometimes or says the wrong words? All that matters is to say "I'm sorry"!
