I bought this book for my son, age 10, as a gift "from" our Corgi for Christmas. It was unclear if this was a children's book or not, and after reading the book, I'm honestly still not sure. The story is cute, and it's a quick read for adults. Many aspects are very touching, and I enjoyed the story well enough, but some of the themes are not going to interest my son at all (budding romance, the emotions the mother is dealing with after her husband leaves). However, the development wasn't at a level of interest for an adult either. Many aspects are glossed over.
I thought the beginning, Henry getting lost, and his first bit in the palace, were very well done. Too many different things happened in the middle, and were not quite tied together very well, then the end picked back up again.
It's a cute fun book, if you happen to enjoy reading about Corgis, but I doubt it would interest others. If I couldn't relate the story to our own dog, I doubt I would have liked it as much.

I loved Henry the Queen's Corgi by Georgie Crawley. G Crawley wrote an adorable and heartwarming story about Henry, who becomes lost in London and finds himself at Buckingham Palace. Henry meets all kinds of interesting people and dogs during his stay at the palace. Henry's family is heartbroken over Henry being lost on their outing to London. Henry's family has their own set of issues during this time. This book is intended for young readers, however readers of any age will enjoy this book. It would make a fun read out loud book for a family.
I highly recommend Henry the Queen's Corgi to readers who like: stories about Corgi's, Royalty, Christmas and books with happy endings.

This story is about lost love, family and renewed faith. While this story takes place in England 11 days before Christmas, it is heart warming all year round. Add in the Royal Family and the inner workings of Buckingham Palace and you have a wonderful dog tale! Enjoy !! 👑
rightThe Royal Family is just the icing on the cake!
I was leery after reading a few other reviews saying this books was only for children, fortunately I found this not to be the case. And actually the storyline deals with the father leaving the mother for a younger woman, so not a good choice for young children. Anyway, besides that observation the story is wonderful, lots of fun and just cute as can be!
