Very inspiring and practical. Full of useful advices. I liked it although I do not agree with a basic premises that we should look for what we like but rather do with a full dedication what we need to do and so the right thing will come out of it.

This book is a fantastic aid for thinking about what you want to do with your life, and creating a plan to get you there. It's relevant to college undergrads who are trying to balance doing what they like with making a good income, as well as mid-career professionals who are trying to have both an exciting career and a rewarding family life.
He's thoughtful and intellectual without being boring. It's refreshing to read something that is both instructive and motivating, but leaves out the mindless cheerleading of most management and motivational books. There are the usual checklists and summaries, but the meat of the book is stories that Smith tells about the people he's advised, and the conclusions he drew from those stories.
Smith ignores the usual "entitled millennial" tropes and just focuses on two questions: how does one uncover what they are passionate about, and how does one then cleverly and deliberately turn that passion into a great career that provides you with a good income and a full life.
There's good, actionable advice in here and I'd recommend it to anyone who's thinking about what to do next – or, in the case of a teenager or college student, what to do first.
It seems like he could read my mind and presented all kinds of questions I had to stop thinking to figure out answers. His questions are very decisive and help me see my career path clearly and start to work hard to achieve my ideal plan for great career. I wish myself could find such a piece of advice earlier before I had finished my undergrad and entered grad school.

I can't begin to describe how much I love this book. He has an example for every kind of person and situation. Plus, at the end of every chapter he gives you questions to think about in regard. I've given it to all my sisters. It's great for any age.
