I find it such an honor to be able to read anything by Quinn Loftis...and when I saw she had this new book coming out AND it was about the Sandman, I have to admit...I was very curious as to how she was going to write a story around this mythical being. Well...never underestimate Quinn Loftis is how I need to start this... As I had no idea of what to expect when I opened up to the pages ahead of me...She completely drew me in with such an epically beautiful story. Do YOU believe you could fall in love with the Sandman?? Well..get ready ladies...Dair, aka the Sandman, will totally make you melt...The way he speaks and I don't mean the way Serenity feels when she hears is voice...I mean in the eloquence of his speech. He speaks in mannerisms that truly capture your heart. It is mesmerizing and I wish more men spoke like that to this day. But, that doesn't encompass all of what this story is. I thought it would solely be about a love story of Serenity and Dair but OH MY WORD...it was so much more than that... Dream of Me has touched my heart in so many ways...I seriously don't think that I could truly capture the exact feelings that I have walked away with from reading this tale. I believe I experienced so much...I was filled with laughter, joy, anger, and sadness...I was holding my breath at what I thought would come to pass and as I drew to the end of the book..My fear won. There are things happening in this world that is magical and spiritual. The good and bad are fighting an endless battle and Dream of Me taps in to all that so we can sample the power of our Creator and the wonderful beings that are around us everyday... Thank you Quinn Loftis for such a breath-taking tale. I am so eager to see what book 2 holds and I can't wait to see how the love of Dair and Serenity grows.... Highly recommend you read this book and it definitely is one of my top reads of the year so far!!
This book was vastly different from other books by Quinn Loftis. It was a breath of fresh air after getting so wrapped in the wolves, pixies, fae, witches and warlocks. This book was very faith driven. As one who professes to believe as these characters do it was intriguing. She spun a tell where mythical, magical and faith could all be intertwined. One without the other didn't work well. I liked Sarah Serenity, but she was just to perfect. There was no room to get to know her on a deeper level. She has already done all her growing/grieving outside the pages of the book. We found her whole and annoyingly full of life. The first few chapters of the book was about her leaving town... The whole purpose of the dream man was to dissuade her. Yet she was such a challenge, that she changed her mind without a fight. The contacting of Emma and Serenity was as naturally effortless as it could have been. I loved the opportunity characters, Glory (want to know so much more about her. Super amazing) Darla, Wally I think was her husband's name, (super funny) and her aunt was interesting. I loved the concept of the book and the characters were good. I just felt like it could have been more emotionally charged. The physical stuff was great and pretty captivating... But I wanted more characters conflict.

My Review of Dream of Me by Quinn Loftis
I have to start off by saying that I loved Quinn’s grey wolves series. I have read every one of them (to my knowledge) that is currently out. I loved this series so much that I named my daughter Alina. It was such a unique name and I loved the character in the story. She was such a strong female. An alpha female at that. When I first started reading Dream of Me I expected the excellent writing and storytelling that I came to know in the grey wolves series. I was NOT disappointed. The writing was spectacular. Quinn simply has a way of weaving a story that leaves you wanting, no, begging for more! I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of the story with Dream of Me, but as the story progressed, it was exactly as it should have been. I loved the mythological background mixed with the uniqueness of this story. I do not know much about the mythology of the sandman, but I did enjoy reading about it in this book, whether it was true or not. I am a hopeless romantic so I loved the fact that the sandman was able to find love. Something that he has never experienced before. Well, I don’t think he had felt many human emotions before since it was not a part of his job. I loved the Emma. She was like a little sister to Sarah, and in the end, the story proved that blood didn’t matter. The picture that Quinn has painted with this story is beautiful. I am so glad the ending did not disappoint! I just knew I was going to have to be mad! I am so glad that I was wrong. From an editorial standpoint, this book had very few errors (which I also expected). All of the books I have read of Quinn’s have been well picked through! Many thanks for that as sometimes the errors can take away from the story. I didn’t ever have to stop and try to figure out what something meant. The story flowed seamlessly. I loved the incorporation of the angel Raphael as well. I am a big Supernatural (the TV show) fan, and I envisioned Dair and the angel feeling similar to those on Supernatural when they were first introduced into the show. They did not feel human emotion because they were not created to feel emotions. They were created to serve a purpose, and never had the need to think any differently. It gave the characters a complexity. It also shows the amount of thought put into the characters. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in this series! I hope it is released soon! Yes, I am impatient! I hope to read Quinn’s other books soon as well, and will be reviewing them as soon as I do. Thank you so much, Quinn, for writing another awesome story! <3

I made it 1/3 of the way into the book before I gave up. Plot characteristics sounded promising, tho turns out I still don't know what the plot really was. Immortal falls in love with a human basically on first sight, who basically instantly reciprocates. We listen in on the accompanying dialogue. Maybe there's more if I'd read further, but was hard to keep going after a lengthy explanation of the natural Creator-ordered "me, Tarzan, you, Jane. I take care of you." Sorta sealed the "may not read much further" deal. Skipped to the end - nothing there to make me want to back up to see how they got there. Too much nothing. Oh, well. Interesting framing, tho.
