First of all ... Ham and cookie? Seriously? I am used to strange and for me really unsexy names from KA, but damn alone these both ruined the mood of the book for me.
Unfortunately this was one of the weaker stories by KA imo. It starts with a drama that isn't really worth a drama in the beginning and continues with even more miscommunication that I am used to by KA.
Furthermore none of the main characters could make me like them. So of course I couldn't really get into their story.
Going into a KA book, one knows there are going to be a lot of issues. Women bashing. Wimpy characters. Behaviour from 1950. Info dumping. Endless repetition of the same story. Stupid and/or naive heroines. Just to name a few. Nevertheless they are a guilty pleasure for me and from time to time I really enjoy a good KA book. This one, I could not enjoy. It fell flat and couldn't grip me enough so that I could ignore all of the issues I have with this author. (And seriously. Ham and cookie? Come on.)
