A wonderful biblical heartfelt adventurous series

Reading the series was like going on a family adventure. Meeting new characters and seeing characters that I of course knew from my reading of the Bible. I understand that this is a fictional depiction, however I personally love a good story, Learning of the day to day lives of historical characters. I loved all of the details that were given about the food they ate, the clothes they wore, the homes that they lived in and the community that they formed with family and friends and believers of Jesus. The last book, the martyrs, was the hardest one to read because of all of the suffering that the saints with through during the time of Nero’s reign. The book was a bit hard to get through. Overall I absolutely loved this series!

I really loved reading the entire series. There were parts hard to read because it was so tragic, for example, Jesus crucifixion. On these tragic areas I read slowly to get the full impact. Although these characters are long gone, I still wished their lives didn't have to end. What an insane person Nero was, and how was he was allow to rule? I usually do not like to give away anything in a story,but one question. I was wondering why Pavlos, the muted gentle giant, never was heal to be able to speak. It would have been interesting to read what kind of voice he could have had, and what kind of wisdom he could have spoken? I hope I will be able to find another book/ series that can come as close to this writer.

AWESEOME book set. Would recommend this book set to anyone without hesitation. Really gave insight into how the lives of the early Christians might have been. Loved It.

Love, love, loved it. Couldn't put it down. So great to find the continuing story from one book to the next. Wish all would read it. Fascinated by life and times and methods of day to day life in Bible times. Transported to that time in history.
