I would describe it as dark fantasy with alot of explicit content combined with a serious story.

After the group arrives at their destination and they start sharing secrets the story gets derailed. This group therapy crap that comes up at that point destroys the pacing of the story and it shines a light on quite a few very questionable statements on how to interact with ppl who have certain psychological blocks and problems (example: Everything can be solved with kindness and love). It reads at that point like something a child heard somewhere else without much context instead of an author having made their research before writing about it.
