The only part that felt a bit too easy was Alex’s bi-awakening. Having been straight his whole life, he seemed to accept his attraction to River without much pondering, questioning, or hesitation after their first encounter.
That said, the poly relationship was handled beautifully—balanced, believable, and emotionally satisfying. The spice was sensual, intimate, and very hot.
The narration, though, was the real highlight. Stella Hunter brought Mia to life with warmth and strength, while Teddy Hamilton perfectly captured both Alex’s charm and River’s tense side. Their voices blended effortlessly, making the emotional beats hit harder and the banter sparkle. Every flirtatious moment, every heated scene, and every quiet confession felt authentic because of their delivery. This is one of those audiobooks where the performances elevate the story to another level.
