Other than that part I loved the story. It's low Angst has a little action and no unnecessary drama.

You like comfort food and you like fantasy-/science fiction-romance books, then this is the book for you. It may not be Skakespeare but it sure is fun and makes you feel warm inside. It's a bit steamy but there is not really any non vanilla stuff happening.
There's even some worldbuilding. I liked it. Directly going for the next one in the series.

If you’re on the fence about reading of ice planets and blue alien lovers (but honestly, why would you be??), give the audiobook a try!
The story is funny, silly and oh so sweet and the narration is great, too. Can’t wait to get to the other 40+ works surrounding this series, lol!
