Adeline’s resilience and the horrific experiences she endured while held captive by the human trafficking ring touched me deeply because of my own experiences with trauma. At one point, I finally was crying and sobbing from deep within my body. 😭 The story was so intense that I felt as though something inside me was able to let go through this crying, both emotionally and physically. This makes Hunting Adeline so precious for me. ❤️🩹
What I particularly liked is that trauma healing also plays a significant role in the book. It becomes clear that healing takes time and love. Zade’s personal growth impressed and touched me. He is considerate and, at the same time, supports Adeline as she works through her trauma step by step.
For me, Hunting Adeline is therefore more than just a gloomy dark romance. It’s a story about pain, survival, strength, and the journey back to oneself. Especially for people who have experienced trauma themselves, it can be touching and inspiring in a special way. For me personally, it definitely was. 🖤
The narrators and the audio production were once again fantastic. Zade and Adeline’s voices are a perfect fit for their characters and convey their emotions in a very authentic and expressive way. Even though English isn’t my native language, I was able to follow the story very easily. The sound effects also did a wonderful job of enhancing the atmosphere and making the listening experience even more intense.
