When Nick hosts a costume party at his house, he meets a girl there and they hit it off. Years later, their brief fling still lingers in his memory. This is a story about being young and horny, about epic house parties and fleeting friendships, about sex and all the baggage that comes with it. But it's also a story about memory, and how our memories change over time, and how something that seemed simple and fun can take on meaning and feeling as the years go by.
From a "Things That Shouldn't Turn You On" themed costume party to a sci-fi film set, from sultry bedrooms to awkward mornings after, Her Changing Face follows the course of a brief but memorable affair. And when it's all over, and time has passed, it looks back and sees everything that happened with new eyes. Like the relationship it depicts, this book is funny, unpredictable, sexy, uncomfortable, wistful, and dreamlike.
