James has always dreamed of a rustic life in the countryside, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When he inherits a cabin in a charming little town, his dreams might just come true!

But rustic isn’t boring! There are plenty of things for James to do. The pretty blonde shopkeeper has some work for him, and the cute redhead farm girl has a foxy fox in her chicken coop that needs dealing with.

And then there’s the town itself. It appears quaint and quiet, but it has a magical history and more than a few mysterious inhabitants.

Oh, and there’s a cat girl in James’s cabin. She’s gonna teach him magic. Probably should’ve mentioned that first....

The story is... Not in here. It's barely a prologue. And I am not sure if the writing is immature or if it's just not a native speaker, but there's quite a few confounded words (e.g. confidently/confidentially) and sex scenes - admittedly one of the most difficult things to write well - sound more like teenager fantasies.

It's not *bad*, as such. There's no atrocious grammar, giant plot holes or other stuff that would upset me. There's just nothing of interest.

I am not sure if the narration is meh as well or if it's just the best you can do with the source material.

Meh.
