... und eine Nebenfigur. Denn die Hauptfiguren haben mich nicht überzeugt. Ford und Cash sind unsympathisch und creepy. Das wurde einem in den anderen Teilen dieser Reihe nicht so bewusst. Ben ist blass, ich wurde nicht warm mit ihm. Die Geschichte ist insgesamt nicht sehr glaubwürdig, was an sich bei solchen Büchern ja auch nicht der Fall sein muss, verfolgen sie doch einen ganz anderen Zweck. Dennoch hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Selbst die Reaktion Bens Vaters am Ende wirkt irgendwie einfach angehängt und nicht glaubwürdig. Sie trägt dazu bei, den Plot zu schwächen. Wen aber nur ganz bestimmte Szenen interessieren und dessen Geschmack nicht nur reine 'Vanilla' ist, ist mit dem Buch gut bedient.
