    "Motivating Way to Set Goals"

    Chris Downie's "The Spark" is a short, concise book on how to set small goals that create great momentum. The book includes a diet and exercise plan and is enhanced by an excellent, free website www.sparkpeople.com. But beyond losing weight, it helps readers understand that even the smallest changes can make a big difference and it offers encouragement for setting small but consistent goals, called streaks, to help build momentum to achieve larger life goals. For example, if you want to live longer, you can break that goal down into smaller goals like becoming fitter. You can work toward your personal goals by "streaking", e.g. going to the gym 3 times a week or drinking eight glasses of water a day. The same principle applies to other goals, too - like work, family or education projects. I listen to the book whenever I need to refocus or set new goals for myself. I visit the accompanying website regularly. It offers tons of information and tools for nutritional, fitness, health and even financial planning.
