too many never ending fight scenes

the book is one long fight scene. Most of the fighting holds no real suspense. Although weaker than the four books before it, Annihilation is enjoyable enough to "work" through the endless fight scenes in the hopes, that the 6th book will conclude the series in the quality of the first books.
