Disappointed by this after reading her latest work

I just can’t relate to the characters at all, they’re each unlikeable in their own way. The multiple perspectives are not only sometimes confusing, but also stop you from really getting hooked to the story and its emotions. I would have wanted a clear main character and more interesting dialogues. It all feels like a bit of a cliche. And why are 16 year-olds behaving like they’re 12? I’m very disappointed - after Mother Ship I had high expectations for this book.
