Outstanding performance!!
Fantastic performance by Rosario Dawson. This was a gripping story with an interesting premise and, as you would expect from Andy Weir, quality (accurate) science! But the vocal performance of the story was really what made this audiobook special. I would give her 6 stars if I could...

Tolle Geschichte, super gesprochen!

Greatest little city in the worlds
Loved the City and the Tech.
The story was okay, but kind of generic.
Don't listen for the plot, listen for Artemis. It's the greatest little city in the worlds. Couldn't get enough of it.

Best female narrator I have heard so far
Great entertainment, read with a fantastic voice. Rosario Dawson’s performance is wonderful - hope to hear more books by her.

Ok story with a badly written female protagonist
I'm quite disappointed by this book, since the Martian is one of my absolute favourites. The story is fine, not groundbreaking, but a good science-fiction story. Since it is set so far in the future, the science is a bit less realistic and thus (to me) not as fun and interesting as it was in the Martian.
What really bugged me, though, was the protagonist. She's a woman, who's a complete asshole, bad-ass. tomboy type of character. At the same time, she is constantly sexualising herself though. Like, she's on the run from murderers, but is still thinking about how sexy she must look to the guy, whose t-shirt she borrowed. Or she undresses during a heist and comments on it, saying it's fine because she undressed in front of a gay guy. She also views her naked body as payment for favours she gets from male friends (the only type of friends she has, no other women) and her sexuality is often commented on by the male characters. This doesn't drive the plot along at all and it's simply weird. The gay man is once referred to as a "butt-pirate" by another character, since apparently homophobia is alive and well on the moon.
The only thing that might save this book is Rosario Dawson, as she really bring Jas to life. Still, the way that she is written was just too off-putting for me. I'll probably still finish listening, but I'm really unimpressed with this one. I guess Andy Weir can write a guy who is literally all alone on an entire planet quite well, because he doesn't interact with women much. He might want to stear clear of written from a female perspective, if he can't envision a woman who doesn't constantly see herself through a male perspective.

Great book

Naja
Keine wirklich packende Geschichte. Sie wird gegen Ende besser, aber trotzdem nicht wirklich lohnend.
Da sind The Martian und Project Hail Mary deutlich besser.

Didn‘t get the vibe
The story is ok, but it never really grabbed me. Missed the whit and sarcasm of the Martian.
