I picked this audio book because of its mysterious background around Marianne Engel, and was a somehow shocked when I started reading the first part. Not for the faint hearted, it described the car accident of the story teller, and how he was burnt alive in detail, staying conscious all the time. Continuing with his treatment in the burn ward, I learned a lot of medical facts that I found interesting. With the appearance of his visitor, Marianne Engel, the story unwinds and reveals the mystic part. An unusual book, that grabbed me from the first to the last page, with its graphic, yet touching, humourous and philosophic storytelling. This book stands out, wow, what a ride!
