Humanity, in 300 Pages.
The beauty in this book is not that it executes the novella to perfection, it very much doesn't execute the novella, but with the humanity it carries; the expansiveness, insight into world and people and hope not for a better future but a more livable now
A book, I'd wager, many will find comfort in.

Hitting the non-fiction ground running
My favourite John Green book (and that’s saying something). I am on my third re-read/listen. The author somehow manages to capture the sort of feelings of wistful melancholy I can only ever hold on to for a short moment while also being genuinely informative, charming, and funny. I loved it!

Beautiful and entertaining
I really enjoy John Green's books, it seems he puts a ton of effort in finding the most succinct ways of narrating a story, and I really appreciate it. Because it is read by the author, that enthusiasm comes across every chapter. Fantastic book about keys items in the anthropocene, yelled in a bunch funny and heartwarming stories. I give this book 5 stars

wonderful
I enjoyed this audiobook sooo much! Will definitely listen again and again.

A way to fall in love with the world
When I got this audiobook, I was already a fan of John's insightful perspectives on the world, as a listener of "Dear Hank and John". However, it never occurred to me that a preamble essay about reviews could have me deeply moved, one about Scratch and Sniff stickers could invoke both a deep sense of sadness and nostalgia, coupled with a feeling of being understood by someone so distant; and an essay about some cave paintings could have me genuinely in awe of humanity and it's good sides.
With his almost romantic eye for detail, John manages to bring out a myriad of emotions and a sense of wonder out of even the most mundane sounding things with essays about grass and Canada Geese. All of this is ever so beautifully underlined by absolutely fantastic prose.
This book has made me appreciate life just a bit more, while also elevating my daily commute. To allow myself to just love things, without carefully keeping to the middle, hedging my bets, for risk that something eventually might be better - living in a perpetual perfectionist fallacy:

i loved this so much.
this was excellent and it ripped my heart out several times over. ok the demand is i write longer but i'm not sure what else to say except how much i loved this and how much it made me feel. not sure what my favourite Essay was.
